Say Hello To 2020's Miss SA Finalists

August 11, 2020
Emma Westensee

The top 10 Miss South African Finalists for 2020 have finally been announced! And seeing that it’s women’s month, what better way to celebrate a few of South Africa’s great women?

It’s the perfect opportunity to celebrate these strong, beautiful and ambitious women. Before we dive into the details, let’s take a step back and remind ourselves of what Miss South Africa is really about.

Miss South Africa is a leadership platform for ambitious young women who are passionate about making a real difference whilst inspiring young South African women to do the same. Throughout the pageantry process, they learn incredible life skills and combine these skills with their ambitions, to be able to put them into action.

Miss SA is a symbolism to show all South African women that with courage, strength, hard work and determination, you can be and do anything. The phrase ‘empowered women empower women’ truly ties well with what Miss South Africa can offer its contestants as well as the women of our country.

Our 2019, South African queen, Zozi Tunzi, once said, “Today, I want to remind you to remember why you started. Whatever it is that you are doing and you’re feeling like giving up because it seems all odds are against you, don’t stop. Remember why you started! We’re not giving up this year. We conquer!”.

Let's give a big round of applause to our Miss South Africa Top 10 finalists:

Aphelele Mbiyo

Busisiwe Mmotla

Chantelle Pretorius

Jordan van der Vyver

Karishma Ramdev

Lebogang Mahlangu

Melissa Nayimuli

Natasha Joubert

Shudufhadzo Musida

Thato Mosehle

We wish each and every one of you all the best and we cannot wait to see your journeys unfold.

2020 has been a tough year for all, to keep moving forward, we all need to remember that every single one of us has the collective power to make a positive change. Let’s learn from these women and pride ourselves in choosing to stay positive whilst making that difference.
